My ring slipped off, fell down to the floor

today

is that a sign, is it a premonition

of some kind

or is it a superstition

if a black cat crossed my path

tomorrow

would it be a sign, bringing me certain

foreboding sorrow

for me tomorrow

there’s a crack in the mirror, when I look

closer

is that a sign, does it define

what’s to come

for me tomorrow

superstition

feeling trepidation

two steps closer

every day to our

unknown demise

unless we

stop

take a deep breath

take another look

and realize it’s just

a mirage

a tainted image of

tangled webs cast

with words long ago

fingertips touch

minds touch

souls touch

streaming, breathing

Life takes us, unexpected,

Undecided...to another place;

Unrehearsed, forced to face,

Our inner demons masked with grace.

Our toes in the sand, our fingers to the sky,

Our energies drift far and wide;

Like magnets, we attract or devide,

Without blame, without shame...it's okay to cry.

Lifetime after Lifetime, it's up to me, it's up to you,

To shed your fears, to learn and live for the new;

Unchartered, untouched, yet familiar too

Our heart and mind willing to walk in someone elses shoes.

Our own soul, with it's darkness and light,

Of this, and this alone, we are the keeper;

Encased in guilt, our soul would only suffer,

Leaving no trace of us for others.

Leaving nothing to doubt, we put down our shield;

We say Hello, we say Goodbye and live day by day.

We embrace, we love, we forgive, we feel,

And with each breath of air, our journey becomes real.
