I'm tired

Tired of being quiet

Quiet, in moments where I should stand up

Stand up for the heart that beats inside

The beat inside, which keeps the soul alive

Alive to breathe, to love and be loved

Loved in a way that respects and transcends  

Transcends the mind to grow beyond

Beyond the physical experience we see

See through the conventional thoughts and beliefs

Beliefs that scream so loud, your eyes get shrouded

Shrouded to the point where it seems blinding

Blinding all the obvious that lies in our view

Our view as a whole, you and me and everything
Everything showing our very true colors

The true colors and nature of our state of being

Being the one, that stares back at you in the mirror

The mirror that reflects every particle of you

The you that brings light in to the world 

The world that is ours to build our own path 

A path where--what we choose exemplifies the truth

The truth that only you can perceive as the way 

The way that compliments and elevates to the supreme

The supreme state of mind, ever expanding and shifting

Shifting to your own growth, in your own heart
The heart that each of us should adore and cherish

So many things here remind me of you

That's okay though, I choose to remember the good

Like that day on a whim, we went on a drive

Sitting on the beach, watching the tide

I close my eyes, feel your hand in mine

And all those times, you running your fingers down my spine

Finding passions in places, that made us feel high

Our talks about the universe and questions in life

Now your visions changed, in your mind

And I knew I had to say ...goodbye

               I know, these tears are the last I cry for you

              That doesn't make it any less true

              All the things we went through

So many things here remind me of you

Sometimes...it can feel like being lost

     Lost, in a maze; that has no end in sight 

   Staying guarded and sometimes...feeling so damned tired.

     
     Too many people think they know the words

        The words to make your life worthwhile. 

     That's alright, but go ahead and use them for your own lifestyle

   One mindset is not meant to rule the other

Thoughts are all speculations without a home...

 ...everywhere, yet belonging nowhere.

       Love, will take you at some point or another

   Spin you down to the ground 

Or take you flying high 

  But still, you have to give it all

There's no other way...it's live and learn.

  

  Life, no matter what, will have its twists and turns

    Every thought you have shapes who you are

  Every soul you encounter becomes a part of who you are

Choose wisely, 'cause sometimes it's hard to tell

   Amidst the new fresh upside-down

 Busy with one, the other may fall away unbound 

     Out of sight, out of mind, only to realize 

That letting go of what you left behind

  Was one of the things that held you strong

 One of the things devoted, true and sound

     Eventually it all comes clear down the line.

   Since each and every encounter...tells-all in time.

All of this said, any revelations in life should never be denied
So fly, soar and be free on your path of personal discovery...

     Living in that ethereal moment of Now

Is the only way to break away 

        From the suffering we believe has us bound

Holding on to the past, with chains heavy and cold

    There has to be something brighter to hold

           Living in your world with your eyes mostly closed

    That kind of darkness can be toxic to the core

Not a thing is written in stone

    Not a thing binds us to what we think we know

 All is relevant, indeed, for sure.

       Yet nothing is absolute!

Shifting our perception to what we want to see

  Why waste moments on useless rephrasings

      Making life a never ending parody 

   Clutching on to only common beliefs

Masters of limitations we concede

     This is not our only passage way, you see

Challenges come, challenges fade away

   Creators of our own paths

 Moment to moment, we choose

      Do we allow ourselves that time to breathe?

  And allow ourselves to set things free?
Or do we muddle through
    Feeling burdened, weighted, heavy without ease
  Carrying luggage filled with ancient memories

I choose to soar

  Granting my mind to travel beyond

     Dropping the weight that would hold me down

 Accepting of the fact, there is no control

     And what is tangible is not mine to hold

The only certainty is the unknown 

  And to live in that ethereal moment of the Now

    Let's talk about black or white

      Not the color of our skin 

 But rather, 

   Psychological beings

     So many not seeing 

       The colors in between

    We call it the grey,

But there's so much more

   It's any color you want to see,

     As long as you look further

       Than the constricted lines of ones belief

     There's so much we miss

  If we stay blind and insist

On treating each-other, as if

   It's my way or you don't exist

     Let go of the black or white

       Let go of only seeing this or that

         The roads traveled in between

       Have so much beauty and love to give

     A revelation of a whole new world

       A whole new way of seeing, as if...

  ...suddenly, there's no me or you

   Them or us, or him or her

But instead, there's just simply 

   All...of us...and everything joined together

 It's not implausible

    With an open heart...all is possible
